Ephedrine

Ephedrine is an organic compound derived from the Ephedra plant. Ephedrine, a bronchodilator, has long been used for temporary relief of bronchial congestion and bronchial asthma. Ephedrine opens up the bronchial passageway and alleviates bronchial spasms to increase oxygen flow. In conjunction with Guaifenesin, an expectorant, it works to remove bronchial congestion.
